The Boat That's Also a Caravan
What if your boat and your caravan were the same thing? A Cat Cruiser tows to the ramp like a caravan, launches like a boat, then becomes your accommodation for the night — one asset that does both jobs.
One asset, two lifestyles
Most people who love the water end up owning two things: a boat for the day and a caravan or camper for the night. That's two registrations, two insurances, two lots of storage and two things depreciating in the driveway.
A Cat Cruiser collapses that into one. Tow it to the ramp behind your vehicle, slide it off the trailer, and cruise the coast. When the sun drops, drop anchor or pull back onto the trailer at a powered site and sleep aboard — full galley, real bed, marine bathroom and power all built in.
How a day actually runs
Drive from home to any ramp, lake or beach. Back the trailer down, launch, and you're on the water in minutes. Fish, dive, explore the islands, or just relax on the deck.
At night, cook aboard on the induction cooktop, run the lights and fridge off the battery, top up from the solar, and turn in. In the morning, do it again — or tow home and park it in the driveway as a spare room.
What's on board
Full galley with induction cooktop and fridge, a marine toilet with fresh-water and holding tank, electric hot water, comfortable berths, LED lighting throughout and a large usable deck for entertaining. No gas or LPG on board.
Power comes from twin lithium battery banks with solar and a Starlink-ready wiring point as standard, so you can stay off-grid and connected.
The range
Three models share the same idea at different sizes: the 650, the flagship 750, and the grand-tourer 870. The 750 starts from $199,000 with first registration included; the 650 and 870 are quote-on-a-call.
Expect about six hours at cruising speed, with solar recharging while you explore. Every Cat Cruiser is designed and built on the Gold Coast.
FAQ
Is a Cat Cruiser a boat or a caravan?+
Both. It's a trailerable catamaran you tow like a caravan and launch like a boat, with a full galley, bathroom and berths so you can sleep aboard — one vessel that replaces two.
Can you actually sleep on it?+
Yes. Each model has proper berths, a galley, a marine bathroom, electric hot water and battery-plus-solar power, so you can camp on the water or at a powered site overnight.
How much does it cost?+
The Cat Cruiser 750 starts from $199,000 with first registration included. The 650 and 870 are quote-on-a-call — get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
Do I need a special vehicle to tow it?+
It depends on the model and your vehicle's braked towing capacity. The 650 tows within reach of many large SUVs and utes; use our free tow check to confirm your setup against all four legal limits.
